Commitment To Training & Quality
Standards worked to and exceeded by the Asphalt Reinforcement Services team.
Training, accreditation and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) are at the core of everything we do and build towards at Asphalt Reinforcement Services.
“We all agreed that it’s important to keep up to date with the different options available to prolong the life of our pavements, especially in times when maintenance budgets are stretched further than ever.”
Leading the way, Asphalt Reinforcement Services was the first company to have an NVQ qualified workforce. NVQ qualified operatives are fully compliant with National Highway Sector Scheme 13 (NHSS) accredited by BSI. This qualification is essential to ensure the quality of the team’s work and skills.
Environmental issues are treated seriously with sustainability and reduced carbon footprints being intrinsic to the work culture that Asphalt Reinforcement Services promotes.
THE GLASGRID® CE MARK
The GlasGrid® CE Mark is your guarantee that the GlasGrid® products supplied are manufactured under strictly monitored conditions to ensure consistent quality.
BSI/ISO 9001 QUALITY MANAGEMANT
The BSI/ISO 9001 Quality Management Certificatealso provides you with reassurance. To achieve and maintain this accreditation, the company needs to repeatedly demonstrate it’s ability to provide its services according to a quality management system. Asphalt Reinforcement Services prides itself in being able to do this time and time again.
When it comes to the health and safety of contractors, holding the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)accreditation is paramount. Asphalt Reinforcement Services has achieved this certification by repeatably showing compliance with health and safety law. Being CHAS approved means that you can tick another box when assessing the suitability of this team to carry out your work.
SMAS WORKPLACE CONTRACTOR CERTIFICATE
This is a comprehensive review of all critical documentation that needs to be maintained to achieve this certification. This includes having the H&S Policy or Statement of Intent assessed as well as examples of method statements and risk assessments, information on H&S training (certificates/records etc), schedule of insurances, subcontractor assessment processes (if appropriate) and accident records.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Using an independant company, this has been achieved by demonstrating consistently safe working practices and being monitored on all types of health and safety advice, guidance and documentation (specialising in construction). The company is also assessed on risk assessment and management, CDM advice, guidance and documentation (for clients, principal designers, principal contractors and contractors), inspections as well as being monitored and audited on a regular basis.
