E-Grid is a range of warp-knitted composite geotextiles, composed of bundles of high modulus glass filaments, knitted onto a fabric of non-woven geotextile.
E-Grid absorbs high stresses and prevents reflective cracking of asphalt overlays over cracked pavements, cement-bound bases and joints between concrete slabs.
E-Grid is supplied with tensile strengths of 25kN, 50kN and 100kN in both directions and with fabric weights of 40 gr/m2 and 100 gr/m2.
In additon to its asphalt reinforcement capability, E-Grid also provides stress relief and water proofing. During installation the fabric is saturated with bitumen (emulsion or hot bitumen) and as a result it becomes a waterproofing layer, protecting the lower pavement layers against moisture ingress.
