GlasGrid® 8550 was used on Packington Avenue, Shard End in Birmingham as part of a 19600m2 programme of works carried out by J A Bates for Birmingham City Engineers in 2006.
A 20mm regulating course was applied directly to the existing concrete. GlasGrid® 8550 was then installed followed by a 40mm SMA surface course. This design arrested the onset of reflective cracking, reduced cyclic maintenance and inconvenience to members of the public.
