Highways UK is a multi-faceted industry event taking place at the NEC Birmingham 16-17 November. Bringing together those responsible for the planning, the operations and the resilience of the UK’s road network into the future, Highways UK is a significant event for the industry. As well as a major exhibition drawing attention to the latest innovations and smart techniques, there will be industry briefings and a high-level conference.

Up for discussion will be the major changes as a result of the recent formation of Highways England listed as:
- Greater funding certainty
- More efficient delivery
- Stability for the supply chain

Within the event will also be the Highways UK Advisory Board which has been coordinating the impressive content and style of this 2-day event. Among the exhibitors will be all the usual industry big industry contractors as well as the Institute of Civil Engineers and Innovate UK. The breadth and diversity of attendees, exhibitors and those involved is impressive and there will be numerous media industry partners there to capture events.
Significant keynote speakers include Andrew Jones MP, Minister for Roads, Department for Transport; Jim O’Sullivan, Chief Executive, Highways England; and Sir Terry Morgan, Chair, Crossrail.
Gerald Byrne and Adrian Bunkle from Asphalt Reinforcement Services will be attending both the event and the Arcadis-sponsored supper.
