Glasgrid.The Glasgrid pavement reinforcement
system including its protective coating
has been in service for over 20 years
and its excellent performance has been
well documented and validated in countless
installations around the world.
Glasgrids protective coating is a proprietary polymeric coating designed
to protect the fiber glass reinforcement from mechanical damage from
the manufacturing and installation processes.It contains polymers that
penetrate the fiberglass bundles effectively coating the individual glass
filaments .
The Glasgrid coating is also designed to optimise the chemical compatibility
between the Glasgrid and the overlay ensuring good bond between the lifts
of asphalt pavement.

GlasgGrid Tack Film (TF). Developed
by Saint
Gobain Technical Fabrics, the system
contains a patent-pending, highly
engineered film designed to replace
the need for
a tack coat. The fibreglass grid
provides protection against reflective
cracking,
while the tack film enhances performance
of the overlay, resulting in extended
life.
